YOUR ROUTE

Master’s Degree

With a recognised bachelor’s degree, a master’s is one of the fastest and most predictable ways into Germany — and the 18-month post-graduation job-search permit is part of the same route.

§ 16b AufenthG

What is usually required

  • A bachelor’s degree recognised in Germany (checked via anabin).
  • Language proof matching the language of the programme; many master’s courses are taught in English.
  • A letter of admission from the university.
  • Proof of funds and health insurance.
  • Graduates and final-year bachelor students
  • People who want to specialise and then work in Germany
  • Anyone starting in English and building German along the way
